Dominic Anthony Berardi is an Eagle Scout. His Eagle Project was to fold 1500 small flags with the help of 40 volunteers. These flags were sent to our service men and women overseas. Dominic graduated from the Devil Pups program at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in 9th grade…which inspired the Eagle Project.
He just recently graduated from the US Border Patrol Explorer program Post 1326.
Dominic is a Silver Palm Eagle Scout which means he has stayed active in his unit after earning Eagle and earning 15 merit badges. (The award goes from Bronze, Gold and then Silver with the number of merit badges earned above the Eagle Scout requirement).
He is active in the Point Loma High School NJROTC. Dominic has spent time volunteering at Loma Portal Elementary School. He work a few events on campus each year. He has also volunteered with a friend outside a local grocery stores in Point Loma collecting food during the holidays. “It was remarkable how much they could collect as long as they were in uniform!” described Susan Berardi
Dominic attended the FBI Academy this past summer where he was one of 30 selected to attend from 150 applicants
He volunteered as a Junior Lifeguard Aide for the Silver Strand State Beach for 3 summer programs with a total of 300 hours.
Dominic has participated in multiple volunteer projects and hours through Scouts and his Eastlake Church.
Dominic has been accepted into 10 colleges with the possible major in agriculture or history. He also wants to go into law enforcement upon graduating.
